Clean, Green, Innovation Machine

MY mission is to run a net-zero set of home projects that are focused around innovations to help secure a better environment for future my family. With every innovation, I will ensure it is evaluated on how it can be sustainable before getting started. Below are my goals:

Net Zero

As I built AFinnovations was built, I did it with a view on being sustainable as a cornerstone to its purpose. Every aspect of the projects I build, the I use technology for day-to-day tasks is selected based on being renewable or they include acceptable monitoring. With this in mind, I have been able to build a portfolio that is net zero.

  • Science-based targets! I have set clear and achievable targets that will allow me to establish and sustain being net zero.
  • Inventory of internal processes to understand where my usage comes from, applying this to our methods of tracking enables full coverage.
  • Set targets for the projects going forward and review them each year.

Transparent Tracking

Having clear and transparent tracking is critical to being able to be a sustainable. What I believe is also important is the way that tracking is achieved... Having a slow and tedious process to get the statistics, complicated calculations to differentiate Scope 1 vs Scope 2 vs Scope 3, and publishing in various media forms - all can result in reduced engagement and possibly inaccurate tracking.

  • Shareable PDF reports that focus on my goals and achievements.

Setting goals and keeping track whilst always transparent

Through my processes of tracking emissions I will be monitoring the internal and external usage and publishing them to this site every month. This page holds graphs of our impact on the environment including number the of trees planted, my project emissions, and my eco offsets.
